Christian charities launch “Willpower” to promote legacy giving

Six Christian charities have joined together to promote good stewardship through legacy giving. The group, called Willpower, launched its website at www.will-power.org.uk this week.

Willpower acts as a source of information and encouragement to those who wish to know more about leaving a legacy gift to enable future generations to know the comfort, joy and healing power of God’s love.

It will also remind Christians that by leaving a legacy to their favourite Christian charity they can leave a lasting impression and continue to do God’s will, even after their earthly life is over.

The six Christian charities are Bible Society, Care for the Family, Church Mission Society, The Leprosy Mission, Livability and The Mission to Seafarers.

The website provides details about legacy giving, answers to frequently asked questions about making a will and links to other useful sources of information about will-making and legacy giving.

Willpower will also have a presence at the major Christian festivals and exhibitions in 2006.
